On Lemonade Day, he offered the kids a lobster company
Children around Lubbock are opening office and kiosk stores throughout the city and selling lemonade and other soft drinks to the community as part of the annual Lemonade Day event.
Organizations, including United Family Stores and YWCA, promoted Lemon Day 2022 to encourage children to learn about entrepreneurship.
For 8-year-old Hope Campos, this was their first opportunity to run their own business.
"My mother told me I could sell lemonade and I thought it would be a good thing," he said.
On Saturday morning, I bought a property and set up shop in a very busy area in front of the Amigos supermarket on North University Street to sell strawberry lemonade, lemonade, cherry, lemon and vanilla cake and other cakes that I helped my mother with.
His pavilion was also the venue for the Lemonade Day opening ceremony hosted by United Family and YWCA on Saturday morning.
Robert Taylor, the recently retired United Family CEO, was one of the first customers to buy his own glass of lemonade and see some of these cakes.
A few weeks before the national event on Saturday, throughout Lubbock, children registered for Lemonade Day, received a bank loan from First United Bank, attended school seminars and events, received free shirts, attended online trainings, and more. to be sure that they are ready for great success by owning and managing their own business.

According to a United press release, along the way, participants learned valuable life lessons such as creating a plan, implementing that plan, providing excellent customer service, and ultimately earning money. Through the event, local business sponsors, schools, nonprofits and government leaders come together to influence the lives of young people in the region.
To do their part, community members were asked to help meet the demand, and the United States and the Christian Association of Young Women encouraged people to buy three glasses of lemonade from a kiosk in the city.
